Quakers Running Club is a friendly, community based running Club in Darlington, made up of runners of all abilities. We all started somewhere, so we appreciate that taking your first steps in running is not necessarily easy.
With this in mind, we are pleased to offer a 10 week course for absolute beginners, or for those who haven’t ran for some time and wish to take it up again. Over 10 weeks, we will help you to run 5K (just over 3 miles in old money!) continuously.
You’ll start with a mixture of walking and running at first, but with the help of our friendly and supportive Coaches you’ll gradually increase the amount of running you are doing.
At the end of Week 10, we’ll have a crack at a local parkrun together!
Start Date: The next Beginners Group starts at 6.30pm on Tuesday 6 June 2017, and the course is made up of two Club sessions per week (6.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings), with a third session to be undertaken in your own time. Places are limited, so to book your place please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Venue: Abbey Road Sports Field (all initial sessions will take place on the Sports Field, which provides an element of privacy), however as the Group progress we’ll look at visiting some of our local parks and green spaces.
Cost: £10 for a 10 week course, however you will be offered the opportunity during the course to become Club Members, and your initial £10 will then be deducted from your Membership fee. You can pay the course fee online, or by cash / cheque.
