A quiet week saw just a handful of runners out at the weekend, with most heading off-road.

There was a double header of trail races over in the Lake District. On the Saturday, at the 15K Helvellyn run, Adrian Gooding finished in 1:18:16 along with Rebecca Howard in 1:21:32. The next day saw the pair race again, this time in the 14K Ullswater run; Adrian finishing in 1:25:57 and Rebecca in 1:39:31 along with David Aiken in the same time.

Over at the Crimdon Dene 10K trail race, held in and around Hart Village, Stuart Hardcastle came home in 1:06:32 followed by Wendy Colling (1:10:56), Mark Colling (1:13:59), Sandra Cass (1:15:05) and Gill Wallis (1:44:52).

Michael Joyeux was the sole Quaker at the Locke Park 5 mile race, completing the five laps of the park in second place overall in 27:26.

Two headed up to Hexham for the 10K race there, Kelly Smith completing the distance in 1:01:58 along with Ruth Middleton in 1:05:07.

At the Whixley 10K, Peter Rowley finished the slightly muddy multi-terrain route around the village in 54:39.

Down at the Wistow 10K, Paul Dalton completed the flat countryside route in 38:09 (and third in his age category).

In the Saturday morning parkruns, Dave Jones finished at South Park in 18:43 followed by David Matthew (19:08), Rob Dent (19:40), Dale Chapman (19:43), Dawn Richardson (20:39), Katherine Hackett (20:43), Adrian Cottam (21:43), Gareth Kyle (21:44), Gary Read (22:02), Stuart Hardcastle (22:41), Rob Gillham (23:33), David Whittle (23:49), Steve Howell (24:13), Ian Hart (24:20), Peter Rowley (24:26), Adrian Johnstone (24:55), Stuart Masterman (25:34), Kathryn Gray (27:17), Lisa Bowerbank (28:02), Bryan Dale (28:37), Anneli Mackenzie Brown (28:39), Michael King   (28:56), Martin Mcgregor (29:29), Chris Land (29:46), Christopher Parsons (30:12), Rachel Maddison (31:35), Mark Trowles (31:47), Peter Cowan (32:29), Anthony Rochester (32:29), Naomi Dixon (38:30), and Andy Walker (44:11).

At Sedgefield, Anthony Corbett finished in 24:03 along with Wendy Colling (24:39), April Corbett (26:04), Angela Clement (26:27), Sandra Cass (27:43), Richard Payne (27:46), Jo Meynell (29:59) and Sally Singleton (33:12), Stephen Moore did the Albert Park run in 28:20 and David Ledgerwood ran at Leazes Park in 39:54. Further afield, Michael Thompson did the Sheffield Hallam run in 21:36, David Stewart ran at Bushy in 29:15, while at the Mount Stuart run on the Isle of Bute, Phil Rutter and Gill Colling finished in 23:28 and 28:31 respectively. Flying the flag overseas was Anna Harris, who did the run at Marlay Park in Dublin, Ireland in 25:33.
