Club Championship Update

Sunday 31st March – South Park 20 Miles

The fast and flat 20 mile multi lap of the Beautiful South Park saw 8 Quakers taking part in this race with Marc Ellis finishing 3rd overall and first in the club championship with an age adjusted time of 2:02:46, gaining 50 points, Phil Rutter took second place and the 49 points which were on offer with an age adjusted time of 2:16:45 and Dave Murphy took 48 points in an age adjusted time of 2:21:03. Well done.

Wednesday 10th April – Spring Coast Road 5K

The lure of fish and chips and a lemon top enticed 26 Quakers to take part in the Coast Road 5K. The weather was kind with a slight wind along the coast. This fast, flat course saw the first Quaker coming in on an age adjusted time of 15:06:04, which was Brian Martin, he also finished first in his age category. Michael Joyeux was the next Quaker home in an age adjusted time of 15:59:25, Michael also finished the race 5th overall and third home was Paul Dalton in an age adjusted time of 16:32:05. First Quaker lady to finish was Louise Trainor in 19:00:00. Well done Quakers.

Sunday 14th April – Gisborough Moors Fell race

3 hardy Quakers took on the tough Gisborough Moor 20k run on a beautiful day, first over the line was Andrew Vernon who completed the run in an age adjusted time of 1:54:50 gaining 50 points, next over the finish was Rob Gillham in an age adjusted time of 2:00:54 and gaining 49 points and Ian Scott took the 48 points which were on offer in an age adjusted time of 2:30:05. Well done on completing a tough race!
