Club Championship Update

18 November 2018 – Town Moor Half Marathon

4 Quakers took part in the multi-lap Town Moor Half Marathon, with Paul Dalton not only winning the 50 championship points, in a time of  1:24:14, but also taking the outright race win by over 2 minutes!

Second placed Quaker was Phil Rutter, finishing in 1:29:02 for 49 points, followed by Rob Gillham in 1:36:38 getting 48 points. Gill Colling was the only female Quaker taking part, getting 47 points from her time of 1:47:56.

24 November 2018 – Ravenstonedale Red

A huge turnout from the black and white, as 30 Quakers traveled over to the undulating Ravenstonedale course.

Brian Martin took the 50 championship points in an age adjusted time of 32:41, followed by Marc Ellis in 34:17 getting 49 points, and Paul Dalton in 35:37 getting 48 points.

25 November 2018 – Gavin Duffy Memorial

The final round of the 2018 Quakers Club Championship saw nine Quakers competing for the last available points.

Paul Dalton continued his strong finish to the season, taking 50 championship points in an age adjusted time of 18:34, followed by Rob Gillham in 24:05 getting 49 points and David Ledgerwood in 24:58 getting 48 points.

Final 2018 Championship Positions

After 162 Quakers completed 543 races, covering 5,865km, the top 3 championship positions for 2018:

  1. Marc Ellis, 499 points
  2. Paul Dalton, 494 points
  3. Phil Rutter, 485 points
