A quieter week saw some runners chasing after points, while one travelled further afield to bring home some metal.
The latest 10K league race took place at Mulgrave Castle, held around the grounds of the estate, which included the notorious uphill finish. Paul Dalton finished in tenth place overall in 43:45 (and second in his age category) followed in by David Matthew (46:28), Mike Brown (49:26), Andrew Vernon (50:26), Steve Major (50:38), Mike Kipling (51:21), Brian Mclaren (52:49), Gary Read (56:21), Rob Gillham (58:06), Darren Alderson (1:00:59), Juliette Mclaren (1:03:15), Mark Robinson (1:03:25), Chris Land (1:09:34), Jo Dickinson (1:11:00), Caroline Litster (1:12:02), Nicky Jordan (1:12:41), Sarah Watson (1:14:16), Lisa Alderson (1:15:47), Tristen Coad (1:16:59) and Rachel Maddison (1:27:26).
Three headed over to Coniston Water in the Lake District for the trail races being held there. In the marathon distance, which took in a complete circuit of the lake itself, Claire and Tom Chapman went round together in 5 hours 28 minutes, while in the half marathon event, Rebecca Howard finished in 2 hours 43 minutes.
Also in the national park was Stuart Hardcastle, who took part in the Grasmere Gallop, completing the 17K distance in the surroundings of the village itself, in 1:45:40.
Down in Oxford, Michael Joyeux represented the club at the British Masters 10,000m track championship, finishing the 25 laps in 33:06 to win the gold medal for his age category and set a new club record in the process.
Midweek had seen the third race in the Darlington 5K Trail Series, held around the fields opposite South Park. Rob Dent finished the three-lap route in third place overall in 19:16 along with Luke Minall (21:13 and in ninth place overall), Steve Howell (22:15), Julie Russell (24:10), Paul Hutchinson (27:03), Matt Jackson (27:19), Nikki Thompson (27:32), Danny Gordon (27:37), Lisa Reeve (28:37) and Tracey Plaskitt (33:10).
Taking place at the same time was the Daisy Chain 5K trail race over at Norton, where John McGrath completed the route in 23:55 followed by Michelle Boshier (27:15), Clare McGrath (33:11) and Sally Watson (36:27).
James Simpson took part in the Blenheim Palace triathlon, completing the three disciplines (400m swim, 13 mile ride and 2.9K run) around the estate grounds in 1:45:36.
Meanwhile down in York, Malcolm Hewitson took part in the City of York orienteering event, completing the 4.9K distance around the city in 52:09.

At Albert Park, Ian Hart finished in 25:45 along with Mike Watson (27:10) and Hannah Alderson (27:10), Paul Dalton did the Hackworth run in 19:15, Emily Beaumont ran at Tees Barrage in 39:00, while at Durham, Phil Rutter and Gill Colling finished in 22:44 and 28:33 respectively. Further afield, Peter Rowley did the Keswick run in 26:20, Rebecca Howard ran at Newby Bridge in 22:14, while Miranda Kirby did the Oakwell Hall run at Batley in 40:15.
