23 September 2017 – Snape 10km
19 Quakers finished the Snape10km. It was a multi terrain race which had great village support.
Louise Trainor ran a great race taking the full 50 championship points for the women, followed closely by Rob Dent taking 49 championship points for the men.
24 September 2017 – Thirsk Relays
The Thirsk relays was the first cross country event of the season, with a fabulous 23 Quakers of all abilities taking part.
Marc Ellis had a great run taking 50 championship points for the men and Louise Trainor took 44 championship points for the women. It was a great event that saw teams working together well.
1 October 2017 – Redcar Half Marathon
Redcar Half Marathon is a popular half marathon with the Quakers; perhaps because it is quite a flat course!
Michael Joyeux took 50 championship points for the men in a fantastic time of 01:11:18 with Louise Trainor taking 48 championship points for the women in another great time of 01:33:14. Great running.
8 October 2017 – Richmond Castle 10k
There was another fantastic turnout at the Richmond Castle 10k. The course has been described as‘slightly’ undulating so a massive well done to everyone that took part!
Alex Kiel ran well and took the 50 championship points for the men with Bridget being the first female finisher taking 37 championship points. Again, fantastic running on such a tough course!
The next club championship race is the Yorkshire Coast 10km on 22 October 2017.This is shortly followed by the Guy Fawkes 10 on 5 November 2017.
