August Achievements

At the monthly mile race at South Shields Michael Joyeux finished in third place and also broke the Club Record in his age category.Diane Vaughan also set a new Club Record in her age category.

In the Track and Field masters event at Monkton Lindsey Lester broke her own Club Record. In the 200m Dawn Richardson set a new Club Record.

In the Darlington 10k Michael Joyeux finished in 9th place. New personal best times were achieved by Michael, Kyle Cook, Darren Wright, Gareth Kyle, Lewis Boshier, Philippa Rayner and Lisa Alderson. Brian Martin  and Louise Trainor were 1st in their age categories.Louise Trainor, Diane Vaughan and Nicola Wells won the 3rd placed ladies team prize.

Anthony and April Corbett completed the trail Rosedale Marathon a distance of 29.4 miles.

In the Ray Harrison 10k at Billingham Dave Jones finished in 7th place and first in his age category. Dawn Richardson was the 2nd female to finish. Dave Thompson was 2nd in his age category.

At the Scorton Feast 10K, near Catterick. Marc Ellis finished in 5th place and 1st in his age category. Louise Trainor was 1st female finisher and 1st in her age category.

At the off road Branches and Bays 10K Joanne Dewar finished 1at in her age category.

In the Fleetwood half marathon. Brian Martin set a new personal best time, was 1st in his age category and broke his own Club Record for the distance.

Christian Brown represented Great Britain at the ITU Sprint Duathlon World Championships in Penticton, Canada and finished 6th in his age category.

In the Auckland Castle trail race Brian Martin finished in 9th place and 1st in his age category.  Marc Ellis finished in 10th place and 3rd in his age category. Lucia Minto was 3rd in her age category

At the Gilberdyke 10 mile race Louise Trainor was 1st in her age category.

In the Sessay Swift 6K race Louise Trainor was the 2nd female finisher and Alan Prest was 3rd in his age category.
