Club Championship Update

20 August 2017 – Scorton Feast Memorial

11 Quakers took part in the Scorton Feast Memorial 10k. Marc Ellis took 50 championship points, finishing first in his age category in a time of 40:19. Lou Trainor also came first in her age category with a time of 43:25 taking 48 championship points. Fantastic running!

On the overall Championship Table, Michael Joyeux and Rob Gillham are slugging it out at the top, with Brian McLaren in 3rd. Julie Whinn is clearly leading the women, ahead of Anna Hardy. There is a close battle for 3rd place woman between Lou Trainor, Sandra Martin and Gill Colling, all on 275 points. It’s getting very interesting!

The next club championship race is the Auckland Castle 5 mile trail run on the 27th August, which is a lovely run taking in some trail and forest running. Shortly after this, we have the Roseberry Topping 1.5 mile fell race on the 30th August 2017 – rumour has it that this one is a bit hilly!
