Quakers Running Club

Welcome to the homepage of the Quakers Running Club.

Quakers Running Club has developed a reputation as being one of the friendliest running clubs in the North-East of England. We are very happy to welcome individuals of all abilities into the sport – we all have to start somewhere. Whether you just want to start running for fitness, or are about to do your first 10k race or 25th Marathon, we can help you achieve your goals.

Our members regularly take part in all disciplines of running: on the road, the trails and fells, cross country and the track. We have a wide array of coaches with specialisms in different terrains and distances; we specialise in helping first time runners and beginners develop a love of running.

Our training sessions are held at and around the club’s base at Abbey Playing Fields on Abbey Road in the west end of Darlington. The sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30pm until 8:00pm and are open to all; check out our training schedule.

We actively encourage potential new members to come along and see what Quakers Running Club has to offer and no charge is made for attending these initial sessions. No one is under any obligation to join, but our hope is that you will enjoy training with us, keep returning and after four weeks, decide to become a member of the club. (Please see membership page to download a pre-membership registration form and hand it to one of the coaches at your first session).
